Only other sonar teams that have registered can see each other's information. All information is closed to the public.
Yes, first responders and dive teams are welcome. If they have cars they know about or use for practice dive, these can be marked so they are not accidentally removed by other teams. This page is not just for private teams.
It's easy! Just take scream shots from your phone (or desk top) of a map of the area. Start with one zoomed out so we can tell the area/city you are in. Marking all the bodies of water searched would be helpful. Then zoom in and mark where any cars have been found, or object of note. In your email, please let us know if you removed the cars. If the cars are still there, did you remove the tag or any parts? See the picture to the left. Please include the date when the area was searched.
Unfortunately, since this is a community that spans the entire country, we do not know everyone that will be using this map personally. To safe guard that pins cannot be moved or deleted, we ask that you submit a picture and/or description of the areas searched and what has been found there.
Yes, we will be glad to add land searches too. Just let us know with a map where you have searched.
We will add them and where you searched to the list. Some times, people that have been found are not promptly removed from missing person's websites. We want to make the most of everyone's time and not have each other searching for someone found. Also, more than one person may be missing in an area and knowing where you have searched is helpful.
